We are excited to announce an opportunity for an enthusiastic, graphically astute, and organised Reprographics Manager to join our Technical Services Team at Herne Bay High. In this role, you will collaborate with various departments and subjects, contributing to the visual enhancement of our school environment and ensuring the smooth operation of our Reprographics Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Print Production: Manage the timely production of high-quality printed materials, ensuring they meet deadlines and the needs of staff and students.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Visual Arts staff, the technical team, and administration to develop a high-quality graphics provision across the school.
- Tech Support: Act as first-line technical support for reprographic equipment, solving issues like paper jams and toner replacements.
- Resource Preparation: Design, format, laminate, and proof resources for lessons and exams, helping students create portfolios and supporting them with digital graphics equipment.
- Stock Management: Maintain an efficient system for ordering and storing paper, consumables, and equipment. Carry out stock audits to ensure we always have what we need.
- Financial Oversight: Keep accurate financial records and assist with budgeting for the department.
- Compliance: Ensure the department adheres to copyright law, safeguarding policies, and data protection guidelines.
- Visual Enhancement: Contribute to the visual development and maintenance of displays around the school, ensuring they are up-to-date and engaging.
What We’re Looking For:
- Skills & Experience: Proficient in Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in using digital graphics equipment like cameras, scanners, and drawing pads is highly desirable.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and resolve technical issues on the spot.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Strong communication skills to lead a team and work effectively with students, staff, and contractors.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent organisational skills and high standards of work.
- First Aid & Fire Safety: Willingness to train as a first aider and Fire Marshal (certification provided).
Job Details:
- Contract: Term-time plus 1 week (5 days)
- Salary:
- HBHS Band 4 (pro-rata)
- £23,440 - £23,921 (Full-Time Equivalent)
- Actual Salary: £20,049 - £20,461
