The 2024 Herne Bay High Sports Awards Evening took place in the Bay Theatre on Wednesday 16th October. The audience of parents and staff were invited along to celebrate the successes of our students over the past year, watching video highlights of the year and the students receive their awards.
This year the awards were presented by Team GB Gymnast Courtney Tulloch. Courtney gave the audience an inspirational speech about his journey and his current career.
Towards the start of the evening, we got to celebrate 10 of our top sporting students receiving gold Sports Star awards for regularly attending 3 or more different PE clubs during the year plus having district, county or national honours in their sport outside of school. These went to Zahra M, Alfie M, Freddie P, Jack O, Dexter C, Louis C, Mason M, Alex H, Blake Z and Liam H. Then we continued to celebrate students’ successes. The night is our opportunity to recognise individuals and teams for their extra special achievements and commitments to PE and Sport and to celebrate these successes.
