AMEY Challenge Cup - We Solve it!
3 Jul

We are incredibly proud to announce that a team of our talented students has achieved an outstanding victory in the recent AMEY Challenge Cup, which is designed to inspire females into considering a future career in engineering. Overcoming strong competition from The Royal Harbour School and EKC Sheppey we were victorious in raising the coveted trophy for a second time.

This year’s challenge, titled “We Solve It,” takes place across the UK and gives students a unique opportunity to experience what it’s like to work on real-world engineering projects. For the fourth year running, EKC Canterbury College was chosen as the Kent venue, providing the perfect setting for this exciting competition.

Congratulations to Chloe, Elsie, Alexis, Lacie, Darcy, and Beau for their remarkable teamwork, determination, and creativity. Throughout the day, teams were tasked with designing, constructing, and pitching their solutions for rebuilding a collapsed bridge—based on a client brief inspired by an actual engineering project.

Despite facing tough opponents, our students worked brilliantly together, demonstrating not only excellent technical skills but also resilience, problem-solving ability, and a professional approach that impressed both judges and peers alike.

This achievement reflects their hard work and commitment to learning beyond the classroom. We are delighted to celebrate their success.

Well done to all involved—you have made our school very proud!
